The Problem

  • Most presentations are boring and forgettable. If it’s not a PowerPoint Parade (one forgettable slide after another), it’s the Data Dump (one mind-numbing statistic after another). The only statistic people care about is when will it end!
  • Research shows that most people remember less than 10% of any message after 48 hours. According to USA Today, retention after a presentation is closer to 2% to 3%! Reality check: No one remembers what you said.
  • Presenters get stuck in a rut, delivering their material the same way every time. § Author Seth Godin said it best in his book, Purple Cow, “You are either remarkable or invisible.” Which are you when it comes to your presentations?

If you’re in a rut and want to take your speaking ability to the next level, what can you do?

The Solution- How to Breathe Life into Business Presentations! Speak, present and communicate with poise, power and persuasion. Make high impact in a short period of time. Today, presentations and public speaking are very much a part of everyone’s responsibility. Effective speaking is what separates you from everyone else. This skill is critical to both your individual and organization’s success. Learn to use powerful tools and techniques to turn every presentation into a memorable experience.

Over the last twenty years, we have worked with 25,000 managers from 65 countries. Above 2,000 companieshave sent their leaders through our leadership develop program Making Managers into Leaders®, including 23 of the current Fortune 100 companies.

We wrote the books on leadership development, including Enlightened Leadership: Getting to the Heart of Change, and Leadership Made Simple: Practical Solutions to Your Greatest Management Challenges. We have developed an effective process that leads to mindset shifts and real results quickly and easily. It’s the 20% of the long-term development that provides 80% of the results immediately.

Following are a few successes that were the results of these organizations using the Leadership Framework Process and tools to develop their soft-skill/leadership abilities:

  • A major computer company saved $9m in inventory costs in less than six months
  • A management group of a large company went from hating their 9 a.m. daily meeting to enjoying it and getting great value from it. What was that worth?
  • A commander in the navy achieved the following results:
    • Became the top performing ship in the history of the Pacific fleet
    • Improved retention from 28% to 100%
    • Returned nearly 20% of its budget to the navy coffers (That’s your tax payer dollars)
  • Medical Leader increased the number of organs available for transplant in 15 months, greater than the previous 10 years!
  • Hospitality leader found housing for over 250,000 Hurricane Katrina Victims, in less than 48 hours.

All these examples were accomplished by focusing on the “soft” issues, not the technical ones.
