One might think that being blindsided and broken by a devastating illness would have made Lori a more serious, keynote speaker and trainer. But it turns out that walking through those valleys has made her more determined to spread laughter and joy as she parades through life. Her quick wit, hilarious stories and Okie charm captivates the audience then opens their hearts to learn and grow.
Not only was Lori crowned Mrs. Oklahoma United States in 2002, she also won the Mrs. Christian World Pageant in 2005. Pageantry was not a mere quest for crowns and recognition, but a tool to open doors to share her testimony and story with several TV programs, radio broadcasts and magazines. Depression and emotional illness are rampant in our world today. Lori has had countless opportunities to encourage hurting people and let them know that God still has a plan for their lives even when they have hit the bottom.
After publishing the book What Shoe Are You? in 2006 she quickly became known as the Shoe Speaker. HerShoe Talk has been consistently her most requested year after year.
Lori and her husband Carl of 30+ years still live in Lincoln County, Oklahoma where they have worked side by side, owning several small businesses. Her adult children Rachel and Luke have provided years of laughter and plenty of outrageous stories that she delights in telling to pretty much whoever will listen!
From the red dirt of Oklahoma to the African plains in Rwanda, join Lori as she gets Stuck in an Airport Revolving Door with a cantankerous stranger, meets up with a pack of red raccoons in Mexico, experiences terror in the flippers of a rogue dolphin and gets charged by a hormone enraged bull elephant on a mission trip to Africa.
