Developing an Attitude for Innovation

Developing an Attitude for Innovation (targeted for CEO’s and senior leaders) shows how companies can create an attitude and mindset for creating new products, processes and services quickly and easily. Today, companies are either fast or dead (or dying). During this talk, I will discuss the new theory I developed called Lean Innovation which is based on the Probe-and-Learn theory I created (published in the California Management Review and Harvard Business School Publishing – now used as a case). During this talk, I will share two very specific tools that attendees can implement immediately in their own companies at little to no investment that enables employees to innovate at a lower cost, effort and risk. Organizations have achieved phenomenal results using our approach and last year, the King of Malaysia asked me to give a keynote on this topic to their senior leaders.

Creativity on Steroids

This presentation is for companies that want new product, service and process ideas NOW. In this keynote, attendees learn a new way to be creative and during the talk they formulate, and validate new product, process and service ideas for their company.

1.Look for and identify new opportunities.

2.Vet a new idea before investing the time, effort and money developing it.

3.Build a protocept in under 30 minutes for customer feedback.

4.Identify the Ideal Customer and Ideal Target Segment.

5.Present their ideas to senior company leaders.

Your Salesforce: The New Frontline for Innovation

This presentation is based on my executive course at Stevens over the past nine years where I discuss a new paradigm in innovation. In this new approach to innovation, salespeople form the foundation in creating innovative and profitable new products and services. This speech will take your audience through five stages of the new sales-driven innovation process to revitalize and invigorate a company’s product line. The audience will be introduced to a proven process that shows how sales people can find, vet and present new/profitable ideas to senior leadership.

Attendees learn . . .

1.How to convert customer ideas into profitable pipeline concepts.

2.How to reliably capture customer input for new products and services.

Innovation is Everyone's Job (Ideal for Financial Services, Healthcare and Customer Meetings or New-Product Launch Events)

This presentation is based on five years of working with the Department of Defense where customers partner with companies to create new products and services. The King of Malaysia invited me to give a keynote on this topic in Malaysia – which is forming the bases of the new National Innovation Curriculum in Malaysia. This speech shows customers how they can get involved in the innovation process and provides them with a systematic process for providing accurate and reliable ideas for new products and services.

Attendees learn . . .

1.How customers can partner for innovation.

2.How to obtain accurate and actionable customer input to create new and profitable new products and services.

Kickstart Your App to Success: Turning your idea or app into a real, viable business (Target: Software, Design and Engineering Associations).

This keynote builds on getting 31 student teams accepted on Kickstarter in one semester – in only six weeks — and discusses how technical professionals (software programmers, engineers, etc.) can be the driver of their own future vs. being dependent on someone or some company to employ them.

Partnering for Success

For Sponsored Events: Partnering for Success that discusses how clients can partner with the sponsoring company to enable both to grow and prosper together. This presentation was initially targeted to healthcare and financial service companies. During the keynote I discuss how the sponsoring firm can partner with audience attendees to formulate new products and services. Partnering for Success can help sponsoring firms not only to keep their current customer but also strengthen their reputation as an innovator in their industry.

Customer Service 2.0: Using Innovation to Dramatically Improve Patient Care

According to a recent Gallup study from 2010-2012, 70% of working Americans are disengaged from their job. These employees are not only emotionally disconnected but many are actually working against their employers’ interests: they are less productive, more likely to steal from their companies, negatively influence their coworkers, miss workdays, and drive customers away. The cost of these disengaged employees is estimated to be $500 billion per year and for hospitals the results can be even more severe.

To survive and grow, hospitals must become more innovative. A new approach to innovation is emerging called Lean Innovation and it is changing the way companies innovate.

This talk will discuss a new form of innovation that is becoming standard practice among leading companies.

Take Aways: You will learn . . .

1) How to identify areas for improvement in your hospital.

2) How to constructively voice your opinion for ways to improve patient care.

3) How to put your idea in a form to increase its chances of being accepted and implemented.

4) How to constructively contribute to your hospital’s future.

Creating an Innovative Culture

According to a recent Gallup survey, 70% of all employees are emotionally disengaged from their job and can actually be working against their employers’ interests: they are less productive, more likely to steal from their companies, miss workdays and drive customers away. The cost of these disengaged employees is estimated to be $500 billion per year. A new keynote, by Gary S. Lynn, Ph.D. shows how companies can create an innovative culture, promote creative thinking in their employees, and nurture and harvest more of their employees’ ideas to produce a turbocharged, engaged and committed workforce.

Best Practice Innovations Revolutionizing Healthcare

Are you prepared for the next wave of healthcare innovations? Over the last year, Professor Lynn led a team of researchers to uncover the ten emergent innovations that are transforming healthcare and assembled best-practice cases in each area. Hear from hospitals who have implemented the innovations with extraordinary results: Natural Language Processing for EHR, RFID, CRM, Mobile Health, Telehealth, Telemonitoring, Data Mining, Big Data, Data Security and Interoperability. See beyond the gimmicks and hype. In this lively style, Professory Lynn presents the results on this ground breaking study.
