Dana Barrett is a TV & radio personality, business commentator and social critic known for her to combine humor and sass with complex and important topics. She is currently the host of The Dana Barrett Show, which airs weekdays from 8-10AM on biz 1190 AM WAFS in Atlanta. In addition to her radio show being cross platform and broadcasting on video via Facebook Live, Dana has also hosted a weekly TV show on Atlanta’s NBC affiliate, 11Alive. She has appeared as a business expert on HLN, and has just been named as a Regular Contributor to Forbes.com.
Prior to working in the media full time Dana has been both an entrepreneur and a corporate executive. Between that background and her experiences as a Mom and breast cancer survivor, Dana has a unique and wholly relatable perspective on everything from business to politics to lifestyle topics.
Originally from Philadelphia, Dana is a graduate of Cornell University, a member of the President’s Council of Cornell Women and the Atlanta Press Club and she serves as the official spokesperson for TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation. Recent Awards include a Merit Award from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters in 2016, recognition for being a Small Business Media Advocate in 2017 by the SBA, and for being Diversity Game Changer by the Technology Association of Georgia. Dana is also a regular emcee and moderator at major Atlanta area events from non-profit galas to political events, to major business conferences.
