Billy’s career began behind the drum kit, touring internationally and recording with various bands. His passion for music started early, playing in rock bands from middle school through his professional career. In 2005, life changed dramatically when Billy was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, resulting in the amputation of his left leg. Rather than letting this challenge derail his music career, Billy demonstrated extraordinary resilience – he was back on stage performing at South by Southwest just months after his surgery. This experience taught him invaluable lessons about adapting to change and maintaining focus during turbulent times.

Today, Billy serves as the Executive Director of Steps of Faith Foundation, a nonprofit organization he built from the ground up into a million-dollar operation that provides prosthetic care to amputees in need. Under his leadership, Steps of Faith has helped hundreds of individuals regain their mobility and independence. His innovative approach to nonprofit leadership is perhaps best exemplified by Thundergong!, an annual benefit concert he created that brings together diverse talents from across the entertainment industry, raising millions for prosthetic care while building community.
